Radon is a radioactive gas. It is harmless in the atmosphere but life-threatening in your home. It is present in the rocks, soil, and underground water and can easily make its way to your home through floor drains, floor cracks, well water, and holes or cracks in the walls. Inhaling radon gas can make you and your family vulnerable to fatal diseases. For instance, according to EPA, radon is a major cause of lung cancer. Since this gas is colorless and odorless, detecting it is very difficult.

Mold isn’t just a nuisance that creates a weird, musty smell; it can seriously harm your home’s structural integrity and your loved ones’ health. The spread of mold through your home can happen fast and have detrimental impacts beyond giving you allergies that simply don’t make sense. Besides the fact that it can create odd spots on your walls, mold can lead to respiratory issues and weaken immune systems.

They took the time to explain their findings in detail and answered all my questions, making sure I fully understood the condition of the home.

The report was delivered promptly and was well-organized, with clear descriptions and helpful photos. Their attention to detail gave me confidence in my home purchase, and I truly appreciate their expertise.

We could not have closed without Tim. Not only did he do our initial inspection that showed shoddy electric work, he returned after the seller "fixed" the electric himself. Without Tim returning and giving us the "all ok", we would have pulled out of the sale. Please remember that he is working for the client (buyer)! Any negative reviews are due to bitter sellers that wanted to offload their problems to the buyer. We can't thank Tim enough for giving us peace of mind.

Tim and his staff went above and beyond for us. We had a sudden change in scheduling for closing on our first home and they quickly adjusted their schedule to fit our need. The inspection report was very detailed and found things we would've missed after going through our walk through on a newly built home. He contacted management on site to correct the problem before we moved. I give McNeese Home Inspections full permission to share my report so others can see exactly how detailed this inspection was. If you don't think you need an inspection call McNeese and let them show you why you should change your mind! The homebuilders cannot catch everything with so many contractors coming through the home! Catch the problems early so you don't have to have people coming in and out of your home after you move in. Not to mention he was able to catch all safety related issues!

Hired this outfit to inspect a home I was buying. The owner signed the inspection report, but he never inspected the house. Instead , he sent his son. My realtor asked the kid how many homes he’d inspected, he was embarrassed to tell her. Anyways, the HVAC was inoperable, there was a water and sewer leak in the crawl space which cost several thousand dollars to fix. When I reached out to Tim(the owner), he told me he would reimburse me for the costs to repair the things his son failed to find. I sent him the Bill….crickets! Filed a claim with the BBB, but doubt I’ll ever a penny. If you’re buying a home and the realtor says these guys are inspecting it….run!!!
UPDATE:
Since I wrote this review, we’ve also had to do significant work on the roof, as there was a leak in the ceiling. The roofer could not believe this roof was recently inspected, as it was in dire need of repair with very obvious damage. Last I hear from Tim was “the check is in the mail”. That was well over a month ago.
Please, Do NOT use this company to inspect a house you’re considering buying..you will definitely regret it!!
